Catalina, AZ, Water Year Ends with Near Normal Amount Thanks to Generous Rains in August and September

Here’s a look at the historical water year record for Catalina:

And with those generous summer rains, the summer greening was spectacular.  Below, the height of “pig weed” (amaranth) in the Sutherland Wash a few days ago, followed by one about a week ago on a Catalina State Park trail.
